Mission Statement

The Central Connecticut Nursing Society Chapter is committed to fostering quality oncology nursing care through educational programs, community outreach, resources and networking.

The vision of CCONS is to provide professional growth and development and leadership in order to promote quality nursing practice that advocates a holistic approach to oncology nursing care in a compassionate and healing environment.


Continue to offer 7-8 educational dinner programs per year that are of current interest and are applicable to current nursing practice.

Offer a minimum of 2 scholarships per year to CCONS members to Congress and/or Institutes of Learning

Continue to offer an annual scholarship to a high school senior pursuing a career in nursing.

Maintain a membership of 100 with a goal to increase membership each year.

Acknowledge members achieving OCN ® and AOCN ®certification.

Increase involvement of members in Board of Directors, on committees or in special projects.
